Grosse-Île’s school is renovating its exterior.

A major project was launched in July to renovate two of the four sides of the English school, namely the front and the façade facing the parking lot.

The work consists of replacing all the windows, the siding, and the doors leading outside.

According to director Donna Anderson, the external structures, which are about 30 years old, are in need of refurbishment:

She believes the team has adapted well to the work since the start of the academic year.

The first phase of construction will be completed in November by Nadyco, and the other two sides of the building will normally be redone next year, says the principal of Grosse-Île school, Donna Anderson.

The value of the contract has not yet been revealed.
