PQ: Méganne Perry-Melançon becomes party spokesperson
The Parti Québécois is recruiting former Gaspé MNA Méganne Perry-Melançon as the party’s spokesperson in various forums.
This is a position created to add a voice of the party in the public space, but without parliamentary functions, says the office of the MNA for the Islands, Joel Arseneau.
Ms. Perry Melançon will go out into the field to meet with organizations and groups « from civil society » in addition to representing the party at various meetings and in front of the media, the press release states.

In other news, the Parti Québécois is meeting its caucus this week to prepare for the return to Parliament, set for January 31.
MP Joël Arseneau is expected to unveil his list of priorities for the new session in the Blue Room next week.
More generally, the trio of PQ elected officials intends to put the issues of the health and social services crisis as well as the protection of the French language and immigration, among others, at the forefront.
