Storyteller Cédric Landry in Belgium to participate in a showcase with European broadcasters

Îles de la Madeleine

Storyteller Cédric Landry will soon fly to Belgium to participate in the 17th Journée professionnelle de Chiny, an event that brings together storytelling artists from the Francophonie.

Taking place on January 13 as a showcase, ten storytellers will share the stage in order to convince presenters to present their show.

The Madelinot, who has been living in Rimouski for the past twenty years, describes his participation as an opportunity to be seized, pointing out that the European public is fond of stories rooted in the maritime and Acadian culture.

In a timed 25-minute format, he will perform a condensed excerpt from his show La light du Borgot, which he presented at the Pas Perdus theater in the summer of 2021.

He intends to pique the curiosity of the people in the room.

Over the next few months, Cédric Landry will continue to refine his show in preparation for a provincial tour and performances in France.

Entre Ciel et Mer is expected to hit the road and be presented in several Quebec cities in 2023.

The Madelinot is also continuing his collaboration with the Cirque Éloize on the show Entre Ciel et Mer, which will be presented in Havre-Aubert for a second summer and will hit the road next fall.

The storyteller is looking forward to the new year, emphasizing the opportunity to reconnect with the public after a setback forced by the health context.
