A new children’s book explores the history of Entry Island. Titled “What Home Feels Like”, the project was led by the Council for Anglophone Islanders (CAMI) and published by Éditions la Morue verte.

Storyteller Benoît Davidson was recruited to write the texts, while illustrator Alexandra Dion-Fortin took care of the drawings.

She explains that the story takes place at the beginning of the last century.

The story follows two children and a fox who embark on an adventure on Entry Island in search of treasures.

The territory, seen as a vast playground, is faithfully depicted, notes Alexandra Dion-Fortin.

“What Home Feels Like” was also published simultaneously in French, under the title “Une île comme maison”.

The children’s book was launched Wednesday evening at the independent bookstore Flottille.
