MV Nukumi wins award in Rotterdam

The M-V Nukumi, a self-unloader used to transport de-icing salt for the Seleine Mines, has been named « Bulk Carrier of the Year 2022 » by the International Bulk Journal.

The Canada Steamship Lines vessel, which entered service last May, was recognized for the technical innovations incorporated into its design, including safety, efficiency, performance and reduction of its overall environmental footprint.

The M-V Nukumi has a cargo capacity of almost 26,000 tons and is powered by a diesel-electric engine.

The award ceremony was held Monday evening in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
