COVID-19 vaccine: second booster dose offered to all adults

All Magdalen Islanders aged 18 and over can now make an appointment to get a second booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

It is possible to register online on Clic Santé or via the telephone centre of the CISSS des Îles.

Huguette Cyr, the person in charge of the COVID-19 vaccination for the archipelago, emphasizes that citizens are free to choose whether or not to receive an additional dose.

According to public health information, people who have recently contracted COVID-19 should wait a minimum of three months before receiving a booster dose.

In addition, the Quebec Immunization Committee has not yet issued a recommendation for a fourth dose for those under 60 years of age.
