PADA: 7 Magdalen Islands cultural projects supported
The Corporation culturelle des Îles Arrimage is sharing $8450 among seven local initiatives as part of the spring presentation of the Arts Development Program.
This is the largest ADAP envelope distributed to date, enhanced by unused funds during the pandemic.
The collective Georges à travers le porthole received the maximum amount of $2,000 for its participation in the Festival acadien de Caraquet, while $1,673 went to the multidisciplinary project Les Concerts dessinés en tournée, submitted by artist Sonia Painchaud.
Manon Lacelle and Karine Gaulin received $1,000 each for tours of creative theater for young audiences and participation in the Festival des Anciennes terres in Fribourg, Switzerland.
The same financial support is given to Geneviève Reesör for the dissemination and video tools for her outdoor exhibition Aqua Tertio.
Arrimage is also awarding $925 to ceramist Annie-Cécile Tremblay for the creation of an online sales and reservation site, and $850 to Marie-Line Leblanc for the design and printing of business cards and promotional posters.
The CDFA offers financial assistance in the form of reimbursement, up to $1,000 per individual project and $2,000 per group project.
The program has a total of $10,000 per year, funded by Télé-Québec and the Fonds de développement culturel des Îles-de-la-Madeleine.
