2021-2022, a year of consolidation of services for the CJE
The fiscal year 2021-2022 was one of consolidation of services for the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi des Îles.
This is what emerged from the activity report presented at the annual general meeting of the organization last week.
515 youths used the services of the carrefour, a number that is slightly decreasing in comparison to 2020-2021 according to the executive director, Brenda Déraspe.
Among other things, the renewal of the socio-professional integration program La Route du boulot was a focus, she says.
In terms of notable initiatives, she names the revival of the alternative schooling environment l’École du courant as well as the musical co-creation Existe developed by participants of the Créneau Carrefour jeunesse as the team’s favorite project.
As for the Réseau des partenaires en développement social, the report records 30 concerted actions carried out in 2021-2022, including the update of the complementary study on the needs for early childhood services in the archipelago.
As for Place aux Jeunes, the report mentions 141 candidates supported at a distance and 26 successful migrations.
In addition, Brenda Déraspe said that the process of acquiring and redeveloping the Boudreau Building, where the CJE has moved, is well underway.
Finally, the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi concluded its fiscal year with a surplus of $10,065 as of March 31, 2022, which is reallocated within its programs, services and projects, on revenues and expenses of approximately $1.4 million.
