Kaven Langford enters race for mayor
A third name has been added to the list of candidates for mayor of the Islands.
Cap-Rouge resident Kaven Langford has decided to try his luck in the by-election, having already campaigned in the 2017 municipal elections for councilor of Havre-aux-Maisons.
The 40-year-old describes himself as a hard-working and positive man who is eager to share his ideas with the population.
Langford’s work experience includes marketing, heavy equipment operation, fishing, aquaculture, and construction jobs, among others.
Among the issues he plans to prioritize, improving the quality of life for seafarers, both in the plants and on the boats, is at the top of his list, he says, as is creating housing.
Real estate inflation and labour attraction are also among the issues he wants to address.
Kaven Langford is the third House Harbour resident to run for mayor on March 5; Antonin Valiquette and Nicolas Arseneau announced their candidacy in recent weeks.
