Joël Arseneau receives the 2022 Louis-Joseph Papineau Award
Joël Arseneau, Member of the National Assembly for the Islands, has been awarded the Prix Louis-Joseph-Papineau 2022.
The distinction of the Rassemblement pour un Pays Souverain recognizes the commitment of a public figure to Quebec and his contribution to the advancement of sovereignist and patriotic causes.
Mr. Arseneau says he is particularly touched to receive an award that has been given in the past to leading figures of the movement such as René Lévesque.
The MP will receive the award in person at the Gathering’s Souper-Gala to be held next Monday, which coincides with National Patriots Day.
