Nearly $585,000 from FAIR for Magdalen Islands organizations in 2021-2022
The Fonds d’aide aux initiatives régionales of the Government of Quebec has supported a dozen Island businesses and organizations in the past year.
Les Hôtels Accents received $150,000 in financial assistance for the renovation of rooms at the Château Madelinot.
A sum of $139,000 was granted to Alcyon sel de mer for the start-up of their business, while $57,000 went to the La Méduse workshop.
The Festival de cirque, Gestion Le Phare de Îles, Meubles CLM, Solutions distributions IM and the Municipalité des Îles received between $30,000 and $47,000 each.
Amounts ranging from $10,000 to $14,000 were also allocated to the Municipality of Grosse-Île, the Centre nautique l’Istorlet, the Jardins de Havre-vert and OSM Atlantique.
In all, 79 initiatives in the Gaspé Peninsula and the Islands shared $4.5 million from FAIR in 2021-2022.
