A nurse from Amqui was awarded the Prix Relève at the 19th Florence evening organized by the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec, in part because of a project conducted in the Islands.

Employed by the CISSS des Iles in the summer of 2021, Marie-Ève Caron worked to implement telepsychiatry services on the archipelago.

The Florence Awards recognize the efforts, perseverance and determination of nurses to improve health care and thus enhance the profession.

In addition to returning to clinical practice during the summer, Ms. Caron is currently completing a master’s degree in health on the patient partnership approach while acting as a lecturer at the Université du Québec à Rimouski.

She is also the founder of the non-profit organization SantéFamille, a free online educational resource for families of people living with a mental health problem.
