A more festive 23rd season for the Village Market, starting July 9
Several new features will be added to the 23rd season of the Village Market, which begins its activities this Saturday, July 9.
In addition to the permanent exhibitors, two booths will be reserved for local artisans or artists, announces Caroline Jomphe, director of the Bon goût frais des Îles.
The idea of enhancing the cultural side of the event also translates into other festive additions, she reveals.
This year, it’s Havre-Vert Gardens, Grandma’s Bakery, Old Harry’s Oysters and Cupcakes of the Islands that will return to the site every week, for an average of seven booths each Saturday.
After having tested a weekly theme formula in 2021, the organization preferred to split the season in two according to the profile of the clientele, explains Caroline Jomphe.
The Village Market will be held at the Place des gens de mer, in Cap-aux-Meules, until October 8 inclusively.
