The 2021-2022 Annual General Meeting of the Archipelago Health Foundation was held in a virtual format on Monday evening with continuity as the backdrop.

For the fiscal year that ended March 31, 2022, the philanthropic organization gave just $105,000 to its various beneficiary funds, more than double the grants made in 2020-2021.

Total donations raised through campaigns and activities also jumped despite the ongoing pandemic, a situation that can be explained by the work of the foundation’s director at the time, according to the current person in charge, Pier-Philippe Poirier.

Many of the initiatives led by Stéphanie Larocque have continued and gained popularity over the years, notes Poirier.

He cites as examples the adjusted formula of the active challenge « Les Îles à l’unisson » and the « Choix du cœur » campaign, which was a pilot project in 2021.

The increased participation bodes well for the future, says Poirier, who will soon complete his first year as head of the Archipelago Health Foundation.
