The Réseau des organisateurs de spectacles de l’Est-du-Québec (ROSEQ) is launching a new online content platform called Les Affluences.

Accessible since January 12, the « web magazine » aims to promote artistic creations as well as enhance the profession and venues in the region.

In a press release, the organization states that the objective of Les Affluences is to « [offer] keys to understanding the works to the general public ».

In addition to gathering in one place the calendar of upcoming events by type of art, by territory and by venue, the site offers, among other things, unpublished performances by artists linked to ROSEQ, in-depth interviews and access to the backstage of certain shows.

A complete directory of venues with detailed information is also available.

For the Islands, the platform lists the Pas Perdus, the Vieux Treuil and the Maison de la culture de Havre-aux-Maisons.

A filmed interview with the director and musician Émile Déraspe was published on the site as part of a documentary series that explores the resilience of arts presenters.

The creation of Les Affluences was funded by the Public Engagement Fund of Canadian Heritage.

ROSEQ has 32 member organizations and coordinates over 800 performances and 300 tours per year.
